Flotsam and Jetsam Chenin Blanc

This beautifully bright and vibrant Chenin Blanc by the already iconic Chris and Suzaan Alheit made as a side project “hopefully to show that ‘work horse’ grapes can make lekker wine”. Chenin Blanc certainly has been used as a work horse in the Cape and we certainly see far too much generic, cheap, poor quality chenin on supermarket shelves giving it a bad name. However, in good hands, it can be magnificent as in the case of the Aheit’s Cartology and many others. This one certainly punches well above it’s weight. Parker 92pts, Christian Eedes 92 pts.
