Grapes for Duncan’s flagship red blend are sourced from a number of hand selected vineyard parcels in the Cape. Syrah, Grenache, Cinsaut & Touriga Nacional each make their own contribution to this multi-dimensional wine. Elegance rather than power is a hallmark of this classic northern Rhone style masterpiece. I first tasted the maiden 2011 vintage at dinner with David Trafford a few years ago and it will forever live in my memory. It really was Savage.
